The lead now stands at 86 points and all signs are pointing to Jimmie Johnson winning his second Nextel Cup Championship. Even Jeff Gordon, his teammate and rival admitted as much.
Johnson's victory Sunday at Phoenix was his fourth in a row, and Johnson was impressive in doing it. He had the strongest car, team and seems to get more confident as the Chase winds down. Johnson only needs to finish 18th or better in the final race to clinch the season ending championship.
Greg Biffle finshed a strong second at Phoenix, Matt Kenseth third and Gordon ended up in tenth.
